A Commitment to Craft
A home is built in its details, and most of the ones that matter never get seen. Nathan came up as a carpenter, holding quarter-inch tolerances and hunting down every gap, long before he became an architect and a certified Passive House consultant. That background is why our drawings go deep: every assembly, every connection, every transition from the air barrier you will never see to the millwork you will touch every day. A good crew builds exactly what it is given. Our job is to make sure what they are given is right, so your home performs as well as it looks, on day one and on day 3,650.

01 | DISCOVERY
We begin with a deep conversation about how you live, what you love, and what your home should feel like. This is where we understand the vision—your aesthetic, your daily rhythms, your aspirations for the space.
02 | CONCEPT AND DESIGN
We develops diagrams, space plans and a clear design direction. We present options, align on layout and materials, analyze energy performance, and refine every detail, inside and out.
03 | DOCUMENTATION
We create complete drawings your builder can build from without guessing.
04 | CONSTRUCTION OVERSIGHT
We manage the bidding process to help provide clear, comparable bids from builders we trust. During construction, we are on site at key milestones to be sure details in drawings are being followed and help coordinate any questions with the builder throughout.
The Deliverables
Architectural Plans
A home should be as beautiful as it is functional. We start with the things you feel before you can name them: light, scale, and flow. Then we refine, from the first sketch to the final floor plan, until the space simply works the way you live.
Specification Manual
The drawings are the standard. A good crew builds exactly what it's given, so we give them everything: a complete manual detailing every assembly, every material, every connection, from the hidden air barrier to the visible finish. Nathan spent years as a carpenter building what was on the page. Now he makes sure the page is right.
Cost Estimates
A design only succeeds if you can actually build it. To prevent sticker shock at the end of the design phase, we estimate costs at key milestones along the way, not just at the finish line. Your vision and your budget move forward together, so the number at the end is the one you planned for.
A beautiful concept only matters if it gets built that way. We stay involved through construction as the bridge between you and the build team, coordinating the moving parts so nothing falls through the cracks. Great design lives in the details. Our job is to make sure none of them get lost between the page and the field.
Energy Performance Model
True luxury is felt, not just seen. We model your home's energy performance before it's built, so every room stays quiet, draft-free, and the same comfortable temperature in February and August. The comfort is engineered in. You just get to live in it.
Bid Management
Finding the right builder matters as much as the design. We translate your drawings into clear, comparable bids, send them to builders we trust, and review every line item with you. You get the clarity to choose your build partner with confidence, not a stack of quotes you can't line up against each other.
Interior Finish Selections
This is where the home finds its character. We curate the hard finishes that define it: cabinetry, natural stone, tile, architectural hardware, each chosen to work together rather than compete. Your builder gets a complete schedule of every selection, so what you approved on paper is exactly what shows up on site.
Structural Engineering
The beauty of a home starts with its bones. We bring structural engineering in from day one, so strength and design are decided together and never traded off. Expansive windows, soaring timber ceilings, the spans that feel impossible: we make them work without making them obvious.
Project Management
Construction Oversight
Our work doesn't end when the drawings do. We stay with you until the final door handle is turned, making regular site visits and verifying the details that are easy to miss and expensive to fix. From blueprint to final walk-through, we protect the integrity of what you set out to build.
Landscape Design
A home doesn't end at the back door. We design the land around it as part of the same idea, using hardscaping and native plantings to create outdoor rooms that feel rooted in the Missouri landscape. The result is one continuous sense of place, inside and out.
